Mental Health Skill-Building!
Building Life Skills for Independence
Mental Health Skill-Building Services (MHSS) are goal-driven, training-based services that focus on strengthening an individual’s ability to perform activities of daily living and manage their mental health symptoms effectively. MHSS is more structured and training-intensive, with an emphasis on building and maintaining independent living skills.
Our MHSS Program Focuses On:
Training in daily living skills (e.g., money management, cooking, housekeeping)
Development of medication management skills
Enhancing understanding of mental health symptoms and treatment adherence
Personal hygiene and self-care education
Organizational skills for scheduling appointments and managing personal affairs
Identifying community resources and learning how to access them
Who Qualifies for MHSS?
Adults 18 and older with a qualifying mental health diagnosis who demonstrate significant impairments in major life activities and who can benefit from focused skill development to maintain independent community living.
