JO CAMPBELL, LPN

I’m the Program Nurse at the Newport News H.U.F. Center.

Jo Campbell, Licensed Practical Nurse. Jo is an experienced psychotherapy nurse practicing in phlebotomy and hemodialysis. Prior to working with the Hope, Unity, and Freedom Center,Jo worked in a residential behavioral health center for 3 years. Jo specially takes prides in providing a continuum of care for all H.U.F. members in medication administration, administration of IM injections, blood draws to monitor medication therapy, collaborating with caregivers in arranging physician appointments and transportation, and providing feedback and assistance with member’s overall health issues. Jo co leads the H.U.F. program along with Andrea Jackson in training all H.U.F. employees in becoming Medication Tech certified in administering medication.

Jo collaborates with Program Management in working with all human service professionals, consumers, and authorized persons responsible in providing treatment services to the members of the Newport News H.U.F. program. Jo facilitates treatment discussion and creates activities and goals to assist the members in achieving progress in treatment and rehabilitative services. Jo practices excellent risk management and serves as a first responder in all crises. She also audits and manages medication, and oversees the nutrition services in meals served to H.U.F. consumers.
