Brittany is one of the Clinical Coordinators at the Norfolk H.U.F. Center location in Virginia. She has a wealth of clinical experience and knowledge acquired through working in the field for six years. Brittany graduated college with her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Criminology, from Howard University and from Norfolk State University with a Master's of Arts degree in Community/Clinical Psychology. She holds credentials and is recognized by the state as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Brittany is passionate about conducting, assessments, intakes, and group therapy, and about providing individual counseling to clients in need of support and clinical supervision to staff who are eager to learn. She has performed clinical work in the past while working in the largest Therapeutic Community (TC) in the Nation at Indian Creek Correctional Center. She started off as a Pre-Certified Counselor there and worked to become one of the Clinical Supervisor's over the TC program. Prior to this, she served as a QMHP, providing Mental Health Skill Building services to adults within the community. Then became the only Intake Coordinator, working with new client referrals and other agency representatives to ensure quality care was being provided to the clients she was serving.

Brittany has a wealth of knowledge, skill set, and enthusiasm. To work with her is like a breath of fresh air. She is eager to learn more and is open to meeting new people. She is one of the latest members to join the HUF Center's Administrative Team in the Tidewater Area and we are happy to welcome her.
