I’m the Clinical Coordinator at the Colonial Heights H.U.F. Center.


Bernadette Senior, a native of Columbus, Georgia, is the Clinical Coordinator at the Colonial Heights Hope Unity Freedom Center. Dr. Senior obtained her Master’s degree in Community Counseling in 2010 and her Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology in 2003. Dr. Senior is a Licensed Professional Counselor and also has the following certifications: Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Dr. Senior is a veteran of the United States Army. While enlisted in the military she worked as a substance abuse counselor in an outpatient substance abuse program for active duty soldiers. Dr. Senior also has over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field in varied settings, to include supervising a crisis unit and providing clinical oversight and supervision for an adult Drug Court program in Georgia.

Dr. Senior also has extensive experience working with forensic populations to include working as a counselor with adjudicated juvenile sex offenders in a residential program and working with court mandated adults in a state operated drug court program. Dr. Senior enjoys working with populations of individuals with chronic mental illness and also has a passion for conducting clinical assessments.

Dr. Senior joined the management team at the HUF Center Colonial Heights site in July 2018. As the Clinical Coordinator she is responsible for reviewing and approving all documentation submitted by the Qualified Mental Health Professions (QMHPs), completing clinical assessments, submitting service authorizations, providing clinical supervision, and facilitating clinical training as needed.
