I’m a Program Manager at the Norfolk H.U.F. Center.

Uranda received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Norfolk State University and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Uranda also has a School Social Worker Certification and is currently in the process of obtaining her License of Clinical Social Work (LCSW).

Uranda has had the opportunity to gain clinical experience in the mental health field through various positions such as Community Based Services, Richmond Public School System and as a Clinical Compliance Specialist.

Uranda served as a Case Manager for the HUF Center located in Norfolk before becoming Program Manager. She is responsible for the overall functioning of the HUF Center’s Psychosocial Day Support Program for adults.

Uranda has a passion to empower members to be an advocate for themselves. Her skills and knowledge allows her to serve as a liaison for our agency and the members we serve. Uranda’s willingness to learn, leadership and ability to be a team player fit well with the staff in helping each member develop mentally and emotionally. Uranda takes pleasure in working with her staff to ensure the members’ needs are being met.

Uranda’s focus is to ensure her staff demonstrates empathy, compassion and positive examples for our members. She is devoted to helping her staff ensure our members are achieving their goals.
