KIMBERLY CAIRNES

I’m a Program Nurse at the Colonial Heights H.U.F. Center.

Kimberly is a Licensed Practical Nurse with over 25 years of experience in the nursing profession. Prior to working with HUF Center, Kim worked for many years for Southside Virginia Training Center and Piedmont Geriatric Hospital in areas of Acute Behavioral health, Intellectual Disabilities, and Psychiatric environments. Additionally Kim has been involved with The American Health and Safety Institute with the Train the Trainer courses as an Instructor for CPR Pro/First Aid trainings.

Kim collaborates with Program Management in working with all human service professionals, consumers, and authorized persons responsible in providing treatment services to the members of the Colonial Heights HUF Center program. Kim facilitates treatment discussion, creates activities and goals to assist members in achieving progress in treatment and rehabilitative services. Kim practices excellent risk management and serves as a first responder in all crises. She also audits and manages medication, and oversees the nutrition services in meals served to member at the HUF Center.
